To help with that, EZ CPR teamed up with The Hive co-working space to hold a FREE Child and Babysitting Safety Class for teens, Saturday, June 1 at 3 p.m. at the Hive’s coworking space (10415 Old Manchaca Road). The class will teach teens (ages 11-16) how to build safe and successful babysitting businesses, with topics like how to get started in babysitting, tips for working with parents and children, and important care-giving and first aid tips. “Daycare in Austin can be a tremendous cost, so an enterprising and properly trained babysitter could do quite well here,” says EZ CPR Founder Judy Medina. “Our Child and Babysitting Safety Class will give these teens a chance to learn how to do this correctly and safely, and if babysitting is a path that’s right for them. ”Not only will the attendees get to learn all these skills for free, but they’ll also be able to stay afer the class for a meet and greet with parents looking for trained babysitters. While the class is free, teens who wish to attend must register for the course on the EZ CPR web site (with parental permission) at https://www.ezcpr.net/schedule.html.
